\\ MODELS
We have four prayer models that we are developing. We will offer training in one or more of these prayer models for DEDICATE in December,
and plan to offer training in all of them in the summer IMMERSE and PERSIST programs.
Small Group
Simple and well-known model where one person leads a small group in focused prayer. Usually acoustic, can include worship songs at the discretion of the leader.

Harp & Bowl
A model of team prayer that blends singing worship songs with praying scriptural prayers. More complicated to learn, but proven to fuel 24/7 prayer -- this
is the basic model used in the Kansas City IHOP, which has been praying night and day for over eight years.

Contemplative
Uses the Liturgy of the Hours as a liturgical basis for contemplative prayer and intercession.
Usually acoustic, can include worship songs at the discretion of the leader.

Free-form
The leader has freedom to pray without having to adhere to one of the three other more structured models.
Free-form examples currently seen at AHOP include:
- Individual devotional session of sung choruses and spontaneous worship and prayer
- Individual singing hymns and choruses, and praying out loud
- Silent prayer and bible study
- Instrumental music
- Dance
